Precision ADM Offers Design for Additive Manufacturing Training

Winnipeg, Manitoba –February 28, 2017– Precision ADM (PADM) today announced that it is offering Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) training to its Medical, Industrial and Aerospace clients.

Additive Manufacturing is a process by which digital 3D design data is used to build up a component in layers by the deposition of material (predominantly metals and plastics) instead of milling a workpiece from solid block, for example. The rules of engineering normally laid down by conventional production methods no longer apply. With Additive Manufacturing, functions can be integrated in parts, geometries of unimaginable complexity created, and individual customer products manufactured in a single step.

DFAM will encourage our clients to leverage the design freedom of Additive Manufacturing and liberate themselves from conventional manufacturing methods ” said Martin Petrak, CEO of Precision ADM. “By working with our clients at the design stage we help them devise new and innovative solutions to complex design problems.”
